Putting on an Engaging Voyeur-style Cam Show

Putting on an Engaging Voyeur-style Cam Show

Whether you’re putting on makeup, doing your hair, showering or running errands, sometimes the very act of day-to-day activities makes for the perfect cam show. Creating a sense of voyeurism and authenticity can be just as interesting to viewers as performing an overtly sexualized experience. Remember, there are so many different types of viewers and fans, so be sure to create a variety of experiences in all your shows.

The question we always get from new and existing performers is “What do I do on cam!?” I know in previous articles, I have put emphasis on having an itinerary planned for your shows as well as the importance of incorporating games and themes to keep things fresh and interesting, but this isn’t the only way to perform daily and for long periods of time. By tapping into voyeur-style camming, you could treat viewers like friends hanging out with you while you get ready. Explore your options and figure out what works best for you, because after all, camming is often about trial and error; you never know what could become popular or help you reach your financial goals during a show.

A great tip, if you can afford it, is to have a few webcams set up in different spots, such as one at your vanity for when you do your makeup, another in your shower and maybe on top of your TV for when/if you watch a show.

Even though there may be an element of spontaneity in a voyeuristic show, that doesn’t mean that zero planning and preparation is involved. You should still have somewhat of a plan, or if you don’t regularly cam voyeurstyle, let your viewers know in advance! There are tons of viewers with a fetish for such an experience, and if they see that you have an upcoming “voyeur day” planned, they might mark it on their own calendars as well. Most sites allow you to promote a cam schedule, which enables viewers to see when your scheduled shows are live. I would recommend adding something to your bio as well, to build excitement. Consider using free online editing programs such as Pixlr, Adobe Spark or Fotor as well for your marketing.

Now, when it comes to the voyeur show itself, creative experimentation is key. While some performers like to incorporate tip goals, others don’t, but here are some possibilities:

• Tip Goal #1: Make breakfast/lunch topless

• Tip Goal #2: Take a shower

• Tip Goal #3: Do your hair/makeup

• Tip Goal #4: Read an erotic story aloud

• Tip Goal #5: Play a video game or watch a TV show topless/nude

• Tip Goal #6: Paint toenails/fingernails

• Tip Goal #7: Solo dance performance

• Tip Goal #8: Cum show incorporating something that naturally gets you in the mood, so viewers believe they are watching an authentic solo session.

No matter how authentic you’re trying to be, I’d recommend not showing up on cam completely looking like you rolled out of bed. You can totally rock the morning hair and makeup-free face, but always try and look hygienic, taking care to brush your teeth and wipe off those morning-eye crusties.

The first few times you perform a voyeur style show, it might feel a bit awkward or unnatural, even though it’s you living your life in your own space. I would recommend recording yourself and watching the show afterwards, so you can gauge how comfortable you appear in front of the camera. I have also been told by a couple that performs voyeur style shows, that they tend to quickly forget about the cam if it’s not set up right in front of them. A great tip, if you can afford it, is to have a few webcams set up in different spots, such as one at your vanity for when you do your makeup, another in your shower and maybe on top of your TV for when/if you watch a show. All the different angles will make the stream more interesting to your viewers.

Another question we tend to get from performers exploring their voyeuristic sides are whether they should be interacting with viewers. I can’t tell you what to do, but I can make some recommendations pertaining to both situations. The argument for not interacting with viewers at all is because viewer interaction takes away from the true voyeur experience and it makes it seem like you are putting on a show rather than just living your life. I wouldn’t recommend you ignore viewers completely, though, and that’s why tip goals are so important. So, while you shift your focus away from the chat, don’t do so completely. I would still recommend giving a reaction to tippers (maybe a silently mouthed “thank you”). If you want to interact with viewers a little more than that, then you definitely can, but don’t let it take away from focusing on what day to day tasks you are working on. Talk to your viewers while getting ready and showering, by all means, just make sure you’re multitasking and don’t stop what you’re doing completely.

All in all, voyeur style camming can be a bit of a balancing act between trying to forget the camera is there, but also feeling self-conscious that you are being watched. Let your guard down, but remain alert about what you are showing the world. Be mindful of your camera angles and remember to have fun, because you are being paid to essentially live your life!
